KUCHING: The turnout for early voting has reached 67% as at noon on Tuesday (Dec 14), according to the Election Commission.

       The EC had said it was expecting a 70% turnout for early voting.

       More than 20,000 security personnel as well as their spouses will be casting their votes for the Sarawak election.

       This involves 12,585 army and 458 police personnel and their spouses.

       Among those who have cast their ballot is Army Chief General Tan Sri Zamrose Mohd Zain at the First Infantry Division’s Muara Tuang camp in Kota Samarahan.

       The early voting will end at 5pm and polling will be on Dec 18.
