KUALA LUMPUR: Bina Puri Holdings Bhd 's unit BP Energy Sdn Bhd has signed a power purchase agreement for a large scale solar photovoltaic plant with Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd.

       In a statement, Bina Puri said BP Energy will design, construct, test, commission, own, operate and maintain a solar photovoltaic energy generating facility with a capacity of 5.00MWa.c. in Kunak, Sabah, for connection to Sabah Electricity’s medium voltage distribution network at PMU Kunak.

       The contract will be for a period of 21 years from the commercial operation date scheduled on June 30, 2023.

       It said the power purchase agreement is not expected to have any material impact on the earnings and net assets of the Group for the financial year ending Jue 30, 2022.

       At 12.30pm, Bina Puri's share price was unchanged from the previous close at 4.5 sen, with 202,300 units exchanging hands.

       Its warrants were also trading unchanged at 1.5 sen a share with 100,000 units done.
