PETALING JAYA: All Giant stores in Klang Valley will be temporarily closed from 7pm on Saturday (Dec 18) until further notice due to flash floods that hit the areas.

       “The well-being of all our team members and customers remains a priority, and we wish everyone to stay safe and vigilant to the current condition.

       “We thank you for your understanding and we regret any inconvenience caused,” the supermarket chain said in a Facebook post on Saturday (Dec 18).

       Giant Malaysia said the reopening date and updates will be shared on its official Facebook page.

       Earlier, a video showing a Giant store, believed to be in Shah Alam, being flooded, made its rounds on social media.

       In the video, water from the flash floods had entered the supermarket, including the shopping aisles.
