PETALING JAYA: Floodwaters have disrupted the lives of many Malaysians, who are struggling to get their loved ones and four-legged friends to safety.
In the midst of humanitarian aid for the greatly-affected area of Taman Seri Muda, Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) members from Brigade 11 are also looking out for the pets of flood victims.
A recent post on the MAF Facebook page showed personnel holding two cats, who were safely contained in carrier backpacks.
Another quick check on social media also revealed many rescue efforts underway for trapped pets and ongoing coordination among members of the public to save animals at shelters.
