KUALA LUMPUR: A total of 22,813,571 individuals or 97.5% of the adult population in Malaysia have completed their Covid-19 vaccination so far.

       Based on the Health Ministry’s CovidNow portal, 23,119,998 people or 98.8% of the adult population have received at least one dose of the vaccine.

       As for the adolescent population, comprising those aged between 12 and 17, 86.9% or 2,734,970 individuals have completed the vaccination, while 2,833,424 individuals (90%) have received at least one dose of the vaccine. A total of 78,205 doses of the vaccine were administered on Sunday, with 1,325 of them as first doses, 1,971 as second dose, and 74,909 were booster dose recipients.

       This brings the cumulative number of vaccine doses administered under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme as of Sunday to 55,882,568, including 4,575,798 booster doses. — Bernama
