The body of a man was found Monday night on Wisconsin Avenue in Bethesda, Md., Montgomery County police said.

       A police spokeswoman said officers went to the 6800 block of Wisconsin Avenue about 8:15 p.m. for an incident involving a man.

       She said the man was dead but gave no information about the cause of death.

       In an email, the spokeswoman said that “an active and ongoing investigation” was underway.

       No further information could be confirmed “at this time,” she said.
