THE PARENTS of a terminally ill baby have told how they can’t bring their son to hospital after vandals slashed their tyres.

       The car belonging to Jasmine Legg and Anthony Fryer was vandalised while it was parked outside their Faversham home - leaving them with a ￡325 bill.

       But the couple were unable to afford the fee - which has left them without transport to bring their baby son to hospital.

       Little Thomas was born last year with lissencephaly, a life-limiting brain condition which means he is frequently in and out of hospital.

       Jasmine, 29, told Kent Online: "We just couldn't believe it, especially on top of everything else we are having to deal with.

       "Having a car is so important to us because we often need to take Thomas to hospital, especially when an ambulance isn't available.

       "It's the lowest of the low thing to do and made us feel quite numb.

       “We just can't understand it because we are not aware we have any enemies."

       However, when Jasmine wrote about what had happened on a Facebook page her local community rushed to help.

       A neighbour, Laura Coniam, set up a GoFundMe page to help the family - and in just 24 hours it raised ￡345.

       Jasmine said: "It just shows there are some really lovely people out there."

       And its not the first time well wishers have supported the family, as back in May tens of people sent the tot a first birthday card.

       Jasmine explained: "We don’t know how many birthdays we’ll have with him, so with it being his first one, I just wanted to make it as special as possible," she said.

       "We hope we’ll have more, but you never know."
