PETALING JAYA: The Health Ministry has detected 14 cases of Covid-19 at flood evacuation centres so far.
Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah (pic) in his daily statement on Tuesday (Dec 28), said that so far, no new additional clusters have emerged from the evacuation centres.
Seventy-eight infectious diseases have been linked to flood victims on Dec 28, with 53 cases of Acute Respiratory Infections.
On nationwide Covid-19 statistics, the country recorded 3,434 recoveries and 2,897 new infections.
Of the new infections, 192 were imported cases involving 178 Malaysians. Fifty cases of Covid-19 have been classified under categories 3, 4 and 5.
Four new clusters have been identified.
The national infectivity rate (R-nought) value is currently at 0.93.
