KUALA LUMPUR: NWP Holdings Bhd’s unit has secured a RM30.4mil contract to supply and install aluminium formwork system and undertake skim coating works at two development sites in Klang Valley.
NWP said its wholly-owned subsidiary NWP Construction Sdn Bhd (NWP Construction) had accepted the letters of award (LOA) from Pembinaan Bintang Baru Sdn Bhd.
Under the LOA, NWP Construction will be appointed as the sub-contractor to undertake the supply and installation of aluminium formwork system and skim coating works for the main building and infrastructure works for Cadangan Pembangunan Edusentral’ 36 and 41 Tingkat Fasa 3 in Shah Alam, Selangor and two blocks of 57 storey serviced apartment with seven-story of car parks known as M Luna in Kepong, Kuala Lumpur.
The projects are estimated to be completed between a period of 15 months to 18 months from the commencement date.
NWP CEO Kenny Yap said the contract marked NWP’s foray into the construction business.
“The company is poised to leverage on its key management’s extensive experience to expand its construction arm.
“We are excited with our new ventures to be key earnings contributors for our group in the near-term. The secured projects are vital to our profile in the industry,” he said in a statement.
