IPOH: A total of 311 New Year revellers at a restaurant in Jalan Sultan Yusuff here were issued compound notices for RM1,000 each for violating the standard operating procedures of the National Recovery Plan (NRP) on Friday (Dec 31).
Perak police chief Comm Datuk Mior Faridalathrash Wahid said police raided the premises at 10.30pm Friday and said under the SOPs, it could only accommodate 100 people.
"The premises were packed with customers sitting close together without any physical distancing," Comm Mior Faridalathrash told Malay daily Sinar Harian on Saturday (Jan 1).
He added that the customers included 177 men, 99 women and 35 adolescents aged 16 years old and above.
