SPEEDBOAT killer Jack Shepherd has been moved to a notorious prison dubbed the "monster mansion," it's been revealed.

He's now an inmate at category A jail HMP Frankland - alongside evil criminals such as child murderer Ian Huntley and serial killer Levi Bellfield.

Sarah Everard’s killer, ex-police officer Wayne Couzens, is also an inmate at the County Durham prison - where the speedboat killer is allegedly keeping "his head low."

Jack Shepherd was sentenced to six years in 2018 for the manslaughter of Charlotte Brown - who he was on a date with when she died.

Charlotte, from Clacton, Essex, died on December 8, 2015, after the defective speedboat she was on crashed on the River Thames.

It was said to have been a champagne-fuelled first date with Shepherd, who managed to get to safety when the boat smashed into and log and flipped.

Charlotte was pulled from the water unconscious and unresponsive after being thrown from the boat.

A post-mortem examination found she died from cold water immersion.

Speaking about the killer in prison, one source told the Mirror: “He spends his days writing to friends and family and getting on with the other inmates.

“Prison has been a humbling experience for him.”

Website designer Shepherd, originally from Devon, was initially treated as a witness after the crash.

But he was eventually convicted after a jury heard the boat was speeding at more than twice the limit when it capsized, and also had a number of defects, including faulty steering.

Shepherd then fled to Georgia from the UK in March 2018 and was convicted in his absence in July.

He eventually turned himself into the Georgian authorities, but still maintained his innocence, claiming that Charlotte was driving at the time the speedboat crashed.

Shepherd was jailed for a total of 10 years after finally admitting to attacking a barman with a bottle before going on the run.

He was told he must serve four years for "unlawfully and maliciously" smashing ex-soldier David Beech in the face with a vodka bottle.

       MONSTER MOVE

The sentence for the attack is on top of the six years Shepherd is already serving for the manslaughter of Charlotte Brown, and six months for fleeing the country.

One source said that he believes that Georgia " is likely to be a more welcome home for him than Britain.”

Ian Huntley - also at the same prison - murdered two 10-year-old girls in 2002 after luring them into his home in Soham, Cambridgeshire.

He was convicted of murder and was sentenced to two terms of life imprisonment, with the High Court later imposing a minimum term of 40 years.

Levi Bellfield is a serial killer and sex offender - and will now also be one of Jack Shepherd's fellow inmates.

He was found guilty in 2008 of the murders of Marsha McDonnell and Amélie Delagrange and the attempted murder of Kate Sheedy, and he was sentenced to life imprisonment.
