PETALING JAYA: The Crisis Relief Squad of MCA (CRSM) has been mobilised at the relief centre at Kampung Haji Kamisan in Ayer Hitam to provide kitchen essential items and food for flood evacuees, says Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong.

       The MCA president and Transport Minister said that according to his political secretary Ling Tian Soon, the first temporary relief centre was opened at Kampung Haji Kamisan, Chaah in the Ayer Hitam constituency.

       In a Facebook post on Monday (Jan 3), he said 55 victims from 15 families were transferred to the centre.

       The number of victims is expected to increase as the data is being updated.

       Dr Wee said he attended five meetings at the Transport Ministry in Putrajaya since Monday morning and instructed CRSM to be mobilised at the newly-opened relief centre.

       Meanwhile, Ling said all the victims underwent a RTK Covid-19 test before entering the PPS. He added that the results turn out negative at noon today.
