Prince George’s County police are searching for a suspect in a hit-and-run crash on Christmas Day that left a Fort Washington man dead.

       The man, 56-year-old Juan Acevedo Castellon, was driving north on Tucker Road in Fort Washington when an unknown driver attempted to pass him from behind, police said in a news release. The other vehicle struck Acevedo Castellon’s truck, authorities said, and he lost control and hit a tree at the Palmer Road intersection.

       Prince George’s police were called to the scene at 1:35 p.m. to investigate the crash. Acevedo Castellon died of his injuries Jan. 8, officials said.

       Police have not released any identifying information on the runaway driver or their vehicle.

       Police are asking anyone with information on the crash to call the Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit at 301-731-4422.
