National Weather Service officials warned of slippery road conditions early Saturday due to light accumulating snow overnight that has left a coating across many roads, parking lots, and sidewalks.
In some areas, there was patchy freezing drizzle early this morning, officials said.
The Department of Streets and Sanitation has transitioned more than 200 snow vehicles to begin clearing snow from residential streets. Salt spreaders have been working since Friday evening to ensure that main roads are safe and passable for motorists and buses, according to a release.
Saturday’s forecast calls for a slight chance of snow showers with blustery conditions, and a high of 27 degrees.
