PETALING JAYA: Parents can start adding their children aged from five to 11 years old for the Covid-19 vaccination on their MySejahtera app.

The Health Ministry’s social media and communications consultant Aysha Ridzuan tweeted on Tuesday (Jan 18) that parents can add their children as vaccine dependents on the MySejahtera app.

“Covid vaccination for 5-11 years old will begin soon.

“If your children are your dependents on MySejahtera, you can add them as vaccine dependent to register for the vaccine. More details will be announced later. #PICKids,” she tweeted.

Aysha also shared a screenshot showing that parents only need to provide their children’s full names as well as their MyKad or passport numbers as well as confirm that the children are above aged five and above.

According to the CovidNow website, some 61,135,763 doses of the Covid-19 vaccines have been administered as of Jan 17. This includes some 9,609,454 individuals in Malaysia who have received both the doses of the vaccine as well as the booster dose.

The website also shows that at least 91.0% of adolescents aged between 12 and 17 years old have received at least one dose of the vaccine, while 88.2% have received two doses.
