PUTRAJAYA: Come forward and donate to the Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) Hospital, Datuk Dr Mah Hang Soon has urged the public.

       “The UTAR Hospital, by virtue of it being a teaching hospital, offers another avenue for research and hospitalisation, and can also provide specialist care at an affordable cost as it is a not-for-profit hospital.

       “It is a good cause for humanity,” he said at a press conference on Wednesday (Jan 19) on MCA’s fundraising for UTAR Hospital.

       The MCA deputy president said political inclinations and backgrounds should be put aside in raising funds for the not-for-profit teaching hospital.

       The total cost of building the hospital, he said, was RM330mil for phase one.

       The hospital aims to provide 250 beds for modern medicine treatment, 100 beds for traditional medicine treatment and an additional 250 beds for modern medicine treatment will be added later on, he said.
