PETALING JAYA: Fourteen foreigners including a British man were detained following raids at brothels in Subang Jaya here.
Immigration director-general Datuk Khairul Dzaimee Daud, in a statement yesterday, said that the raid was conducted on Jan 18 across Subang Jaya.
“Two premises harbouring female escorts were raided during the operation.
“Among the 14 arrested was a British man. Thirteen women, 12 from Thailand and one from Myanmar, were also caught,” he said.
Three locals, believed to be customers, were also given notices to present themselves to the authorities for statements.
“Investigations showed that services were offered between RM200 and RM270 for 45 minutes. Outcall services were offered from RM950 and services begin from 10pm until 7am,” he said.
Customers could choose their preferred escorts online through a website or the Telegram application.
“The suspects were not cooperative during the raid and they refused to open their doors. Some provoked the raiding team and gave various excuses to escape.
“Among the offences identified were not having identification documents, overstaying and other infractions under the Immigration Act. All have been sent to the Bukit Jalil depot for further investigations,” he said.
