PETALING JAYA: A total of 142 areas within the Petaling and Klang districts are set to experience unscheduled water cuts due to a broken pipe in Section 15, Shah Alam.
In a statement Wednesday (Jan 26), Air Selangor said the incident occurred as a result of road works carried out by a third party near the Federal Highway on Jan 25, with Air Selangor carrying out repairs immediately.
“We expect the repair works to be completed by 3am Thursday (Jan 27) with water supply returning in stages after that,” it said.
Air Selangor added that the duration of water supply recovery would differ from each area depending on the location and distance of the premises.
“Alternatively, water tanks will be mobilised to affected areas, with priority given to critical premises.
“Consumers are also advised to practice social distancing and wear face masks while collecting water supplies from the tankers,” it said.
