The man, in his 20s, was found with stab wounds on Lionel Road
The young man was found with stab wounds just after 5pm outside a community centre - and he was treated by emergency services at the scene.
He was then rushed to a hospital in East London.
But he sadly died a short time later, despite the best efforts of medics.
Cops launched a murder probe last night following the man's death.
No arrests have been made, but a crime scene is "likely to remain for some time", a Met spokesman said.
