KILLER cop Wayne Couzens has been struck down by Covid in prison.

       Vile Couzens - who killed Sarah Everard, 33, in a crime that horrified Britain - is “seriously ill” and has been placed in isolation in his cell.

       The ex-Metropolitan Police firearms officer staged a fake Covid arrest to abduct marketing executive Sarah before raping and killing her.

       And last night, a source said: “People have been talking about karma, but it looks like he will be OK.

       “He’s been suffering quite badly with it though after coming down with symptoms and has been told to isolate in his cell.

       “He is having food and drink left outside, and can’t see anyone at all.

       “There is not a lot of sympathy for him though, given his former job and what he did with the fake Covid arrest.

       Married Dad of two Couzens, 48, was handed a whole-life tariff last October for murdering Sarah.

       He abducted her last March, as she walked home from a pal’s near Clapham Common, south-west London – using his warrant card to stage the fake arrest.

       The fiend kidnapped her before strangling her and dumping her body in woodland near his Kent home.

       Before he was locked down, Couzens was working preparing tea and coffee rations for inmates, who dubbed him “tea boy”.

       His horrific crime sparked national anger over women’s safety and trust in the police.

       Couzens is held at is held at tough HMP Frankland, County Durham alongside other killers including Levi Bellfield and Ian Huntley.
