A MAKE-UP lover has told how they live as a "gender fluid demon doll” after they were bullied at school.
Vlad Von Kitsch, from Brighton, who never goes anywhere without devil horns, describes their aesthetic as “an ancient vampiric demon, receding in a cast doll vessel.”

The 26-year-old who identifies as non-binary, says they created their look after being made to feel like a monster as a child.
They told Truly: “Growing up black and trans you learn from an early age that the world perceives you as a threat.
“Being told you're a monster your whole life, I eventually embraced my monstrousness and became the demon I was always meant to be.
“At school, I got picked on a lot for being weird. I didn't have many friends towards the end of school.

“Being able to treat my body as a canvas was like my armor.”
Since reclaiming their monster identity, Vlad never spends less than three hours doing their make-up.
They said: “The longest I've taken on a look is about nine hours.
“I’m inspired by clowns, corpse paint and historical fashion. I create different people.
“Blood makes every outfit ten times cuter.”
But despite standing up to their childhood bullies by staying true to themselves - Vlad still deals with abuse from strangers.
They explained: “I’ve had a lot of street harassment. Sometimes minor physical attacks.
“People trying to follow me home and things like that.
“But I won’t stop. I use fashion as a kind of coping mechanism. I feel so much more confident when I’m in a look.”
They added: “My interactions with children are actually really lovely because they think I’m a mythical creature.
“I may look quite scary but in person I’m quite gentle and harmless.”
