All lanes of the Baltimore-Washington Parkway reopened about noon Friday after a fatal crash earlier in the morning that involved several vehicles.

       Transportation officials said the crash occurred near Powder Mill Road in Prince George’s County. Northbound traffic had been diverted to MD 193, officials said.

       U.S. Park Police said the crash involved a fatality but gave no other details.

       Other people were reported injured in the crash, but the extent of their injuries was not immediately known.
