Justice Will-Mamah, 18, was charged with one count of murder and one count of possession of a knife in a public place after the attack.

Ahmednur’s devastated family today paid tribute to their "light on earth" son.

In a statement released to police, his loved ones wrote: "Nur in Arabic means light and Ahmednur was the embodiment of the warmest, brightest shades of his name.

"If he wasn't making people smile, it’s because he was making them laugh.

"We lost our light on earth, but we pray Allah unites us with our adored brother and son in Jannah, where his luminous soul will remain in peace."

The family have launched a fundraiser to build a well in the teen's name.

Last week, staff at Milton Keynes College paid tribute to a heroic teacher and healthcare students who battled to save Ahmednur's life.

Milton Keynes College wrote on Facebook: "Everyone at Milton Keynes College is devastated to learn that the terrible incident which occurred on the Chaffron Way redway has resulted in a fatality.

"Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of all involved."

The teen was stabbed on a street outside the college, and stumbled back to the premises where he collapsed bleeding on the ground.

A Thames Valley Police spokesperson earlier said: “Healthcare students and a member of staff from the college who were in a class overlooking the redway made their way outside and provided immediate first aid, until emergency services arrived.

“The victim was stabbed near the junction of Palace Square and Rainbow Drive in Leadenhall."

“After being stabbed, he then moved towards the Chaffron Way campus of Milton Keynes College and collapsed on the redway outside.”

Emergency services were called to Milton Keynes College just after 1.30pm on Friday following reports of a stabbing.

Ahmednur was treated at the scene for serious injuries - but he sadly died in hospital later on.

The college has offered students support after the incident and confirmed extra security will be working at its Chaffron Way campus.
