IPOH: Police here arrested four men who broke into a warehouse and stole construction items worth RM80,000.
Ipoh OCPD ACP Yahaya Hassan said the four, aged between 42 and 58, were arrested a couple of hours after the break-in at the warehouse in Bercham on Tuesday (Feb 15).
He said while the four were trying to transfer the stolen goods at a secluded site, police managed to nab them.
“However, we are trying to locate the 40-year-old mastermind of the crime who was not at the scene.
“Vehicles such as a lorry, forklift and iron weighing 7,310kg were seized,” he said.
He said upon receiving a report on the break-in, police swung into action, and just within hours the culprits were nabbed.
He said the four would be remanded until Feb 22.
The case is being investigated under Section 457 of the Penal Code for break-in.
Police are looking for S. Yogentheran, whose last known address is No 16, Dataran Tasek Timur 12, Taman Maju, Bercham.
