       Luka Magnotta was born Eric Kirk Newman in Ontario, Canada on July 24, 1982.

       He is the first of three children to Anna Yourkin and Donald Newman.

       In 2003, he appeared in porn and occasionally worked as a stripper and escort.

       He appeared in a 2005 issue of Toronto's fab magazine under the alias Jimmy.

       Magnotta had multiple cosmetic surgeries and auditioned for the show Plastic Makes Perfect in February 2008.

       He is a convicted killer after he killed and dismembered Chinese international student Lin Jun before mailing his hands and feet to elementary schools and police stations.

       Magnotta fled Canada after a video depicting the murder was posted online in May 2012.

       He became a subject of an international manhunt.

       In June 2012, he was apprehended in an internet cafe in Berlin while reading the news about himself.

       Magnotta was convicted in December 2014 of first-degree murder.

       What are the cat killing videos?

       Magnotta posted his first video in 2010 which saw him killing two kittens, before later footage showed another kitten being eaten alive by a Burmese python called "Python Christmas".

       One of the videos was titled "1 boy 2 kittens" and showed a man deliberately suffocating two kittens with a vacuum cleaner.

       A private Facebook group identified Magnotta as the person in the videos in January 2011.

       Where is Luka Magnotta now?

       Magnotta is currently serving life in Port Cartier Institution, a maximum security prison in Quebec.

       He was given an automatic life sentence with no possibility of parole for 25 years plus 19 years to be served concurrently.

       Magnotta was convicted of first-degree murder, committing an indignity to a body, criminally harassing Prime Minister Stephen Harper and other members of Parliament, mailing obscene and indecent material and publishing obscene materials.

       In 2017, it was reported that Magnotta would be getting married to a fellow inmate, Anthony Jolin.

       The pair tied the knot on June 26, 2017, with Magnotta's mom, Anna Yourkin as his witness.

       What happened to Lin Jun?

       Lin Jun, also known as Justin Lin, was an undergraduate in the engineering and computer science faculty at Concordia University.

       He was reported missing to police in May 24, 2012.

       The next day a video titled "1 Lunatic 1 Ice Pick" was uploaded online and depicted a naked man being tied to a bed frame and repeatedly stabbed with an ice pick and a kitchen knife.

       He was then dismembered followed by acts of necrophilia.

       The man's body parts were delivered via post.

       Ten days before the murder another video was filmed showing cannibalism was posted online.
