JOHOR BARU: The focus on the Johor election should be more on the people’s needs, which is a government that can provide political stability and prosperity to the state, says MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong (pic).
The Transport Minister, who is also Ayer Hitam MP, said what the people wanted from the state election should be of utmost importance.
“What I feel is not important but what the people want is important,” Dr Wee said in a press conference after the launching of the Stage Bus System Transformation (SBST) known as MyBas by Johor Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Hasni Mohammad here on Sunday (Feb 20).
He was asked if there is a change in sentiment among the Chinese community towards MCA and Barisan Nasional compared to the last general election.
Dr Wee reminded party members that they must continue to work hard and do their best so that the people can see which side is more qualified.
“This election involves electing representatives to the Johor state assembly who are given the responsibility in solving issues faced by the people.
“It will help form a strong and stable government, which will attract foreign and domestic investors for the prosperity of Johor,” he added.
