PETALING JAYA: Malaysia recorded 26,832 new Covid-19 cases on Sunday (Feb 20), says the Health Ministry.
According to the ministry's CovidNow portal, 26,764 of the new Covid-19 infections in the country were local transmissions, while there were 68 imported cases.
This brings the total number of Covid-19 infections in the country to 3,221,689 cases since the pandemic began.
The portal also reported that the country's ICU utilisation rate stood at 57.2% nationwide.
The Health Ministry also said there were 251,678 active cases in Malaysia, with 94%, or 238,620 individuals, undergoing home quarantine.
The data also showed that 7,524 Covid-19 patients, or 3.0% of the total, required hospitalisation.
The Health Ministry's GitHub data repository showed that there were 36 Covid-19 deaths on Sunday, with 10 classified as brought-in-dead.
