IPOH: All Perak government programmes have been postponed on the advice of the National Security Council following the spike in Covid-19 cases nationwide.
The Mentri Besar's Office said in a statement Wednesday (Feb 23) programmes involving the delivery of emergency assistance, Covid-19 vaccines and booster shots would, however, continue with strict adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
"Perak Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad (pic) has requested that everyone in Perak adhere to the SOPs to curb the spread of Covid-19," the statement read.
Those who have not yet received the booster dose were also urged to do so immediately.
According to the Health Ministry, Perak recorded 1,025 new cases on Tuesday (Feb 22). – Bernama
