KUALA LUMPUR: Unisem (M) Bhd posted a net profit of RM197.78mil in the financial year ended Dec 31, 2021, 38.51% higher compared to RM142.79mil in the previous year on improved revenue and higher interest income.
The group said revenue in FY21 rose 21,7% to RM1.57bil over the comparative period in tandem with increased sales volume.
In the fourth quarter alone, net profit was 5.69% lower year-on-year at RM57.45mil despite a 16.38% jump in revenue to RM426.4mil.
The board approved a third interim dividend of two sen per share, with entitlement and payment dates on March 25, 2022 and April 8, 2022, respectively.
On outlook, the group said it was positive on its prospects despite the economic uncertainties, Covid-19 pandemic, geopolitical issues, interest rate concerns and uneven economic recovery.
"The directors expect the performance of the Group to be satisfactory in 2022," it said.
