YONG PENG: A man was found dead in a locked car at Jalan Yong Peng-Batu Pahat, Batu 5 near here on Wednesday (March 2).
Yong Peng Fire and Rescue station chief Asyraf Nur Mohd Yusoff said the station received an emergency call on the incident at 5.56pm on Wednesday.
“Six firemen from the station were deployed to the scene with one Fire Rescue Tender (FRT) and an Emergency Medical Response Services (EMRS) vehicle," he said.
The operation was led by senior officer II Badrolhisyam Loi Abdullah.
“The team found an unconscious man locked in a car," Asyraf said, adding that the team used special equipment to unlock the car’s door.
He said the 46-year old victim was pronounced dead by paramedics from the Health Ministry and the body has been handed over to the police for further action.
The operation ended around 6.57pm.
