JOHOR BARU: In an effort to prevent the spread of Covid-19, the Sultan Ibrahim Johor Foundation (YSIJ) has donated some RM28mil worth of medical equipment to the Health Ministry and Johor Health Department.

The contribution was made in cooperation with Yayasan Temasek from Singapore, according to a statement on Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar's Facebook page.

"The medical equipment will be used in government hospitals.

"The Health Ministry received 400 units of non-invasive ventilators worth more than RM8mil, while the Johor health department received medical equipment worth more than RM10mil.

"The medical equipment received by the state health department included face shields, KN95 face masks, a ventilator, a dialysis machine, mobile swabbing units and non-invasive ventilators," read the statement.

Sultan Ibrahim presented the medical equipment to Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin at Istana Pasir Pelangi on Saturday (March 5).

Also present was Tunku Mahkota Johor Tunku Ismail Ibni Sultan Ibrahim, state health director Datuk Dr Aman Rabu and YSIJ board of trustees member Datuk Avinderjit Singh.
