CAMERON HIGHLANDS: A post-mortem is being conducted on a married couple believed to have died from electrocution here on Thursday (March 10), says Cameron Highlands police chief Deputy Supt Mohd Shamsuri Mohd Nor.

       He said the procedure would be conducted at Hospital Sultan Hajjah Kalsom in Tanah Rata on Saturday (March 12) and the results would be known soon.

       "We expect to obtain the findings of the post-mortem on both bodies. After the procedure, the remains would be handed over to the couple's next of kin,” he said when contacted.

       It was reported that the couple was found dead in the bathroom of their house in Taman Puncak Tringkap here, believed to be victims of electrocution.

       Their three children aged between two and 10 years, who were in the house at the time of the incident, were unhurt.

       DSP Mohd Shamsuri said family members of the couple from Penang and Sarawak had been informed and the Social Welfare Department would oversee the children's welfare while custody arrangements were being finalised. – Bernama
