JOHOR BARU: Barisan Nasional’s Ng Yew Aik is unofficially leading in the Puteri Wangsa state seat with a 709 majority ahead of his rivals in the six-cornered fight.
Votes counted from 63 out of 184 polling streams saw Ng securing 6,555 votes.
Other candidates are Amira Aisya Abd Aziz of Muda with 5,846 votes, Perikatan Nasional’s Loh Kah Yong (3,644), Parti Bangsa Malaysia’s Steven Choong Shiau Yoon (674), Adzrin Adam (Independent) with 132 votes and Parti Pejuang Tanah Air's Dr Khairil Anwar Razali with 927 votes.
Meanwhile, Barisan candidate for the Kahang seat R. Vidyananthan garnered a 3,238 majority ahead of his rivals from Perikatan, Pakatan and Pejuang.
Votes counted from 18 out of 57 polling streams saw Vidyananthan securing 4,718 votes in unofficial results on Saturday (March 12).
Perikatan’s Daud Yusof secured 1,480 votes, Pakatan’a Rohani Banu Abd Rahman Krishnan won 1,373 and Rosdi Amir of Pejuang with 102 votes.
