JOHOR BARU: The official state election results have been presented to the Johor Palace.

       In a statement posted on Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar's Facebook page, the results were presented by Election Commission (EC) chairman Datuk Abdul Ghani Salleh.

       Johor State Secretary Datuk Azmi Rohani accepted the official election result here on Sunday (March 13).

       In the Johor election, Barisan Nasional achieved a landslide victory with 40 seats while Pakatan Harapan won 13 seats and Perikatan Nasional only won three seats.

       Barisan chairman, Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, who was also Umno president, was expected to present Datuk Seri Hasni Mohammad’s name as Barisan Mentri Besar’s choice to His Majesty soon.
