       CHINESE influencer-actress Zhang Yingying has finally hit out at Internet users who accused her of wrecking the marriage between Taiwanese actress Barbie Hsu and her ex-husband Wang Xiaofei, reported Sin Chew Daily.

       The 25-year-old, who kept a low profile during the couple’s divorce last year, began actively posting online again after Hsu remarried a former boyfriend last week.

       In one of the photos she posted online, Zhang was seen smiling and wearing a huge diamond ring.

       Internet users are speculating that it is a present from Wang and they have accused her of having the gall to “bear a smug grin” for destroying someone else’s marriage.

       “Is it wrong now for me to smile? Should I be crying every day?” she retorted, adding that she had bought the ring herself.

       Zhang also made a snide remark about those who assumed that she had relied on men to buy her presents.

       “Does it mean that one has to rely on men to get money? Doesn’t that mean you yourself do not have the ability (to earn money)?” she wrote.

       Hsu and Wang split up last November after a 12-year-marriage, during which the businessman was rumoured to be having an affair with Zhang, which led to the divorce.

       Just three months after the divorce, Hsu secretly got hitched again to her former boyfriend, South Korean musician DJ Koo.

       The 40-year-old, who used to be one of the highest paid celebrities in China, was recently confirmed to have landed a role in the South Korean drama Insider that is set to air later this year.

       On March 13, she uploaded a photo of herself with South Korean director Kang Je-gyu on Instagram, with whom she worked in the 2011 war film My Way.

       “It has been 10 years since #mywaymovie. He hasn’t changed at all! Enjoyed chatting and working with him. Love drinking with him too!

       “We had three bottles of red wine last night,” she wrote.

       Internet users speculated that Fan’s actions indicated that she would be able to make a comeback to acting in South Korea.

       It was earlier reported that Fan had been finding it difficult to continue her career in the entertainment industry after being slapped with an 880mil yuan (RM540mil) fine for tax evasion in 2018 – one of China’s “biggest tax evasion penalties in history”.

       Since then, the actress has been blacklisted from the film industry, with many of her celebrity endorsement deals axed.

       My Way, reportedly one of the most expensive Korean films ever made – with a budget of 28 billion won (US$24mil) – flopped at the box office.
