       PETALING JAYA: For the first time in the country’s schooling history, Year One pupils started their school life in March instead of January.

       Despite their tender age, the seven-year-olds appeared confident and knew the precautionary measures to take against the Covid-19 virus, a check at several schools in the Klang Valley showed.

       At SJKC Bukit Fraser in Bandar Saujana Putra, parents shared how they have mentally prepared their children on what to expect.

       A parent, who only wished to known as Queenie, said she had been talking to her daughter about starting school since last year.

       The personal assistant said she had described to her daughter what primary school was like, why it was important to go to school and what she should expect.

       “I told her the new things that she would learn and encounter in her new school, and how to face certain challenges.
