A MAN who was sleepwalking nearly lost his life after tripping and falling out of a window on the seventh floor of his apartment building, China Press reported.

       Jolted awake by the fall, he had the shock of his life after finding himself on an awning on the fourth floor of the building located in China’s Chongqing province.

       The awning had helped to prevent him from plunging straight to the ground last Thursday night.

       Neighbours came to his aid when he shouted for help.

       They found the man hanging on to dear life by the side of the apartment building.

       As the awning was gradually collapsing under his weight, neighbours held on to him through a window grille to prevent him from falling.

       Firemen then cut through the window grille and pulled the man to safety.

       Huang posted a screenshot of the cancelled ticket, which showed that he was originally supposed to board MU5735 flight at Kunming Changshui Airport and land at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport at 3.05pm.

       “Thank you for all your concern, my friends,” he wrote.
