A woman was found slain in the College Park area Wednesday morning, Prince George’s County police said.

       Officers were called for a welfare check about 11:20 a.m. in the 9300 block of Cherry Hill Road, police said. The woman was found inside an apartment with “visible signs of trauma,” police said. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

       Police said they do not think the crime was random.
