JOHOR BARU: All cross-border travel on the two land routes between Singapore and Malaysia will be allowed for fully vaccinated travellers from April 1, without the need for quarantine or testing including pre-departure and on-arrival tests.

This will apply to all categories of travellers and modes of transport via the land border.

This has been agreed upon by both Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob (pic) and his Singapore counterpart Lee Hsien Loong in a phone call Thursday (March 24).

The prime ministers recognised the progress that both countries had made in vaccinating their respective populations and managing the Covid-19 pandemic, and noted the progress in resuming cross-border travel through the Vaccinated Travel Lanes by Air and Land.

As Singapore and Malaysia transitioned to living with Covid-19, both prime ministers agreed that it was timely to further reopen the land route.
