PETALING JAYA: Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Hajah Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah took the time to visit the premature conjoined twins who were successfully separated on March 19.
Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah posted pictures of the Queen with the twins, weighing at 2.7kg, on Friday (March 25).
The twins were separated by the surgical team at Hospital Tunku Azizah in Kuala Lumpur.
The male twins were born at Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital (HRPB) when their mother was only 33 weeks into her pregnancy and HRPB neonatology specialist Dr Maneet Kaur Ranjuth Singh had referred them to HTA for further treatment.
Dr Noor Hisham said the Queen also visited another baby, who was born with “Bilitary atresia”.
The baby, he said, went through a liver transplant on Tuesday.
“The baby received part of the heart from his father.
“Hopefully all patients can be given the best treatment at HTA. InshaAllah,” he wrote on Friday (March 25).
