YOUNG inmates that have been jailed for violent crimes are living a life of luxury behind bars.
Prisoners at HMP Cookham Wood, near Rochester, Kent, are treated to widescreen TVs, comfortable sofas and musical instruments while banged up inside.

It is hoped the plush conditions of HMP Coockham Wood will improve offender rehab
The institution houses around 190 male offenders aged 15 to 18.
The amenities of the “association room” include a DVD player, six guitars — electric and acoustic — and a trendy triangle-patterned wall.
A source said: “This is far from the prisons of old that you could get.
“The hope is that by treating inmates better, they will stay on the straight and narrow.”
