KOTA KINABALU: Foreigners going to Sabah will no longer need to obtain a special entry pass from April 1, says Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun.
“Beginning April 1, Sabah is open to everyone who complies with the standard operating procedure (SOP) set by the Health Ministry,” said the state Covid-19 spokesman.
“We are trying to make it easy for foreigners to visit Sabah if they comply with all pre-departure protocols set by the Federal Government,” he said on Monday (March 28).
Among the SOP set by the Health Ministry are for travellers to download, register and activate the MySejahtera application, complete a travel declaration including vaccination information.
Foreigners are also required to have both Covid-19 and travel insurance, and to state where they will be staying in Malaysia.
Among others, travellers are also required to upload the results of a PCR Covid-19 test done two days before departure while those infected with Covid-19 within six to 60 days before departure are required to provide results of a Rapid Test Kit Antigen (RTK-Ag) done two days before departure.
