KUALA LUMPUR: Artroniq Bhd, which has received an unusual market activity (UMA) query from Bursa Malaysia, said it is currently in discussions to acquire a stake in a ICT company.

       In a reply to the UMA query, Artroniq said the group has been continuously on the lookout for opportunities to enhance the group’s earnings and strengthen its financial position.

       “The group is currently in discussions to acquire a stake in a ICT company as well as to monetise the assets of the group's previous manufacturing business, wherein the details have yet to be finalised at this juncture,” it said.

       In addition, Artroniq said its board is not aware of any rumour or report concerning the business and affairs of the group that may account for the trading activity.

       The stock closed four sen or 7.27% higher at 59 sen. In the past five days, the counter has risen over 19%.
