KUALA LUMPUR: A senior citizen died days after being admitted to a hospital with signs of being beaten, and the police have listed jealousy as the motive.

       In a statement Thursday (March 31), Dang Wangi OCPD Asst Comm Noor Dellhan Yahaya said that the victim was admitted to the hospital on March 26 after he was found unconscious at the walkway of a premises in Jalan Pasar.

       “The man died on March 30. Preliminary investigations showed that he was attacked on March 26 at 2am.

       “On the same day, two arrests were made on two foreign women, aged 45 and 49. Both have been remanded for seven days,” he said.

       Police investigations have shown the attack was due to jealousy.

       “The case is being investigated for murder,” he said.
