PETALING JAYA: Short-term interbank rates closed steady yesterday on Bank Negara’s operations to absorb surplus liquidity from the financial system.
Liquidity in the conventional system fell to RM44.60bil from RM52.74bil yesterday morning, while for Islamic funds, it eased to RM24.74bil from RM30.95bil previously.
Earlier, the central bank called for a range maturity auction money market tender and an Islamic range maturity auction Qard tender.
At 4pm, Bank Negara called for a RM44.6bil conventional money market tender and a murabahah money market tender of RM24.7bil, both for one-day money. — Bernama
