KOTA KINABALU: A suspected burglar was nabbed here after residents spotted him standing on the rooftop of a house.

       In a widely-circulated video of the incident believed to have occurred at around 9pm on Tuesday (April 5), the man is seen on the roof with several people on the ground shouting at him and accusing him of being a thief.

       Two others are spotted on the rooftop, approaching the suspect from behind when the man suddenly falls off.

       It is unclear if he is pushed or if he slipped.

       A policeman who was at the scene then arrested the suspect.

       According to a statement issued by the Sabah police, the incident occurred at Taman MDK 2, in the Keningau district.

       The suspect did not suffer any serious injuries when he fell and police found some items on him that were stolen from the house and the suspect also tested positive for drugs.

       The case is being investigated for house break-in and theft, and the suspect also has a record for two previous drug-related offences and has been previously convicted for breaking into a house.

       The suspect has been remanded for four days.
