SEPANG: The suspect, who was wanted by police for allegedly groping two women in Cyberjaya was arrested at his home in Taman Putra Perdana, Puchong.
Sepang OCPD Asst Comm Wan Kamarul Azran Wan Yusof said the 20-year-old man was picked up on Wednesday (April 6) afternoon.
"The suspect works as a food delivery rider.
"Investigators studied CCTV footage and managed to spot the suspect based on the descriptions given by the victims.
"We discovered the suspect arrived at Tamarind Square on a motorcycle minutes prior to the first attack," he said when contacted on Wednesday.
Earlier, the police were looking for a man responsible for groping two women at Tamarind Square, Cyberjaya on Tuesday (April 5).
The first victim was groped in a parking lot at 2pm while the second victim was targeted 15 minutes later in front of an elevator.
ACP Wan Kamarul Azran had said the first victim, who works as a personal assistant, was unloading items into her car when she was approached by a man at about 2pm on Tuesday.
"The man offered to help her but she declined.
"However, he went ahead to try and put items in the victim's car before grabbing the victim and squeezing her buttock," he said.
The suspect fled the scene soon after the incident, he added.
The second victim was groped while she was waiting for the elevator at 2.15pm on the same day.
"The second victim - a 34-year-old woman - was waiting for the elevator at Tamarind Square when the suspect hugged her from behind and groped her.
"She tried to escape but the suspect pushed her until she fell. He then fled the scene," ACP Wan Kamarul Azran said.
