GOMBAK: An elderly man lost control of his car and rammed into three motorcyclists and another car near Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Selayang Baru here.

       Videos of the incident have been circulated on social media and WhatsApp showing the man's white Suzuki ramming into several vehicles.

       Gombak OCPD Asst Comm Zainal Mohamed Mohamed said police detected a one minute video of the incident on Wednesday (April 6).

       "The accident was believed to have occurred after the 79-year-old motorist had just picked up his grandchild from school.

       "The motorist is believed to have lost control of his vehicle and rammed into three motorcyclists and a Perodua car," he said in a statement on Thursday (April 7).

       He said a motorcyclist and his pillion rider suffered minor leg injuries and received treatment at Hospital Selayang.

       "We are now tracing the whereabouts of two other motorcyclists who have yet to lodge police reports on the incident.

       "The case has been classified as careless and inconsiderate driving under Section 43(1) of the Road Transport Act," he said urging anyone with information on the case to come forward.
