Celcom Axiata Bhd is offering discounts to its subscribers with family plans, in the spirit of staying connected over Ramadan and the coming Raya holidays.

       Those who sign up for the Mega Family Postpaid plan will get a discount of RM20 per month for each additional family member that joins as a supplementary line, with up to six additional users.

       This means subscribers can get up to RM120 off per month, if they get six Family Lines. The discount runs for six months after signing up, netting users savings of up to RM720.

       According to the terms and conditions, Family Line prices will go back to RM40 a month after the promotional period, or if users downgrade their plan.

       The Mega 80 and Mega 98 – priced at RM80 and RM98 per month, respectively – can have up to three Family Lines.

       Meanwhile the Mega 128, Mega 158 and Mega 188 – priced at RM128, RM158 and RM188 per month, respectively – can have up to six Family Lines under them.

       All subscribers to the Mega Family Plans will also get a discount if they bundle it with the Max Home Fibre plan.

       Unlike the postpaid plans’ six-month rebate, this RM21 per month discount on home fibre continues as long as the contract is maintained.

       The third offer is for a subsidised phone, where Mega Family plan subscribers can get a 5G-capable smartphone worth up to RM1,999 for free if they enter a contract.

       The offer runs from now till June 30 for new subscribers or those that change their plans.

       Celcom chief consumer business officer Chee Loo Fun said the promotions are to encourage users to stay connected and freely share their favourite festive moments online.

       “With Malaysians looking forward to returning to their hometowns this Raya, we want to ensure that everyone, together with their families, can enjoy a meaningful and worry-free Raya celebration,” she said, in a press release.
