PETALING JAYA: Rumah Bonda founder Siti Bainun Ahd Razali is not my adopted sister, says Datuk Nurulhidayah Ahmad Zahidi.

The daughter of Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said that just because her family have taken a group photo doesn't mean that Siti Bainun, who is accused of child abuse is part of her family.

"Everyone takes a photo with my father, and it has got nothing to do with our family," mStar quoted her as saying on Instagram on Saturday (April 16).

Siti Bainun, 30 had pleaded not guilty to two charges of neglecting and abusing teenager Bella to the point of the victim suffering injuries and also emotional trauma.

"To those who provoke and slander, my family and I vehemently condone the allegations of abuse against Bella," said Nurulhidayah following rumours that Siti Bainun was an "adopted daughter" of Ahmad Zahid.

Ahmad Zahid on his Facebook on Sunday (April 17) also denied that he was protecting Siti Bainun and allegations made based on a picture were baseless.

The Bagan Datuk MP said allegations that he was trying to influence the court don't make sense at all.

He said it was regrettable someone was trying to link him to the case and urged people not to jump to conclusions too quickly.
